DISNEY STARS OUT IN FORCE AT IOMCC FAMILY FUN DAY

If you were at Silverdale Glen last weekend, you could have been excused for mistaking the place for Disneyworld!

Especially with a Disney Princess, Buzz Lightyear and an entire crew from Peter Pan mingling amongst the crowds!

It proved that the Isle of Man Children Centre certainly picked the right theme for their charity Family Fun Day, when even the weather put on a kind face for the hundreds who attended the event.

The Disney-theme occasion was sponsored by Paragon International Recruitment, the island-wide executive, general and temporary recruitment specialists. And thanks to the agency’s support, all the money raised, expected to be in the region of £1500, will be put towards various events and work that the IOMCC charity does throughout the Isle of Man.

“It was fantastic to see so many people taking the trouble to come along in Disney costumes and really entering in to the sprit of the occasion,” said the IOMCC’s Fundraising Coordinator Michelle O’Malley. “We received very generous support from Paragon which underpinned the whole event and for that we are very grateful.”

The busy schedule included a treasure hunt and games laid on by the IOMCC Out2Play team. Silverdale Café also supported the festivities on the day.

Paragon International HR & Recruitment Director, Debbie Harris, said the agency was delighted to have played its part in making the day such a success.

“The Paragon Team would like to add their sincere thanks to the staff and volunteers from the Isle of Man Children’s Centre who were fantastic in entering into the Disney spirit and entertaining the children attending the Fun Day,” said Debbie.

“We would also like to add our thanks to the staff at Silverdale who were kept very busy and to all of the families who turned up and joined in the games, treasure hunt and numerous activities around the Glen.  We are delighted with the funds raised which we know will make a big difference to very worthy causes,” she added.
