Information on Isle of Man

The Isle of Man is a self-governing British Crown Dependency situated in the Irish Sea between Great Britain and Ireland. Favoured by its geographical and political positions the Island is a financial centre of benefit to companies and individuals worldwide.  33 miles (52 kilometres) long and 13 miles (22 kilometres) wide, the Island’s population is c80,000.

As the Manx government is entirely responsible for its own flexible and stable internal legislation, an environment has been developed in which modern and effective trusts can be created, and where banking, insurance and other institutions can operate in a well-regulated regime. Associate membership of the European Union gives the Island access to the markets of member states whilst minimising its obligations.
The Isle of Man is well served by air and sea transport, is equipped with the latest communications technology, and has a highly-skilled workforce. Importantly, too, the island retains a high quality of life in an attractive and unspoiled environment.

Salaries are comparatively high and with the favourable tax position, UK professionals can in some cases be 30% better off in real terms. Relocation expenses, accommodation and transport may also be included in employment packages.

Vacancy Description:

Our client is looking for a ‘Client Service Operations Manager’ to provide on site leadership and responsibility for the day to day complaints operation.

Person Specification:

You should have a solid background in the financial industry,  a thorough understanding of the complaints life cycle and a knowledge of FSA Governance requirements. You should be able to demonstrate strategic and commercial awareness and strong leadership skills such as coaching and planning work activities.  Additionally you will have previous experience of managing large teams and the implementation and execution of all HR tasks including performance management and managing attendance. You should be educated to A-Level standard or equivalent and have a minimum of grade C in GCSE English/ Maths.
