Job Description

A leading international shipping firm are looking to recruit an Accountant responsible for several shipping clients. The successful applicant will manage the preparation, analysis and presentation of the accounts.

The Role...

Your core responsibilities will include:
Daily accounting (full accounting processes from AP, AR, bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments)
Preparation of the monthly management reports
Preparation of year-end financial statements for audit
Preparation of a weekly 13-week cash flow
Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis reporting
Quarterly VAT returns

About You...

You will need:
Experience in management reporting
Holds or working towards a relevant professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Excellent working knowledge of IFRS
Commercial shipping experience would be beneficial
Sun Accounts experience would be beneficial

Daily maintenance of financial records

Actioning supplier invoices, including checking and coding

General bookkeeping duties

General duties relating to the firm?£?s practice management system

About You...

You will need:

Previous experience working as a Bookkeeper

An accountancy qualification (such as AAT or CAT) would be desirable but not essential

The ability to work quickly, accurately and possess excellent communication skills,

A good understanding of Microsoft Excel
