Job Description

Live at Home is a dedicated Manx-registered charity established in 1998. Their staff and volunteers are passionate about providing a variety of options for their members to live happily at home for as long as they can. The charity aims to improve the quality of life and eliminate isolation and loneliness among older people on the Isle of Man by connecting people in communities that care. Above all, they provide reassurance that there is always someone you can turn to for help, advice, or simply a chat.

The Role

We are seeking an individual who is passionate, motivated and with excellent accounting skills who can commit to helping drive the charity forward to its next growth stage on a part time basis of 22 hours per week.

The post holder will provide support to the charity by the preparation of:

Monthly financial reports, accounts, staff salaries and payments
Cashflow forecast and monthly payments through the online banking system
Routinely reviewing the balance sheet for accuracy.
Assist the charity by providing financial forecast for future projects and schemes
Build relationships with operational members of the charity
Assist with ongoing process improvements within the team


Key Accountabilities...

Compliance: oversee the delivery of the service, ensuring service delivery meets the requirements of legislation, regulators.
Performance Management: The achievement of agreed performance targets, undertake monthly reviews and evaluation of the service quarterly .
Business Development: lead on strategic service development and sustainable growth.
Policies and Procedures: Maintain and monitor systems to ensure that Live at home meeting all policies, procedures and standards are adhered to.
Quality Assurance: lead on quality assurance, ensuring that the service complies with all relevant quality standards.

About you…

The ideal applicant will have previous experience in a similar position, alongside:

ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification
Strong IT competency
Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
