The Role…
The role will involve providing tax advice internally within the group and to external clients across an interesting and varied range of sectors. As Tax Manager you will have the opportunity to:
Focus on UK and Isle of Man tax matters for corporate, trust and personal clients
Become involved in providing a high level awareness of international tax
General advisory work
Liaise with client facing employees on client queries
About You…
Ideally you will be CTA, ATT, ACA, or ACCA qualified and have experience of
Advising UK resident non UK domiciled clients and international clients with UK assets
Advising on UK tax matters for offshore trustees, UK beneficiaries and UK settlors
A working knowledge of IOM or UK VAT
Ability to demonstrate continued professional development

Reporting to the directors, the successful candidate will be the dedicated accounting manager to a client portfolio with a major focus on UK property investment and will
Input all entries from bank statements and other financial records into the accounting package (VT) and reconcile accounts
Request and collate financial information from clients and third parties
Prepare client company VAT returns (including partial exemption calculations) and files online
Process client company payments in accordance with internal procedures
Assist in house accountants with year end bookkeeping as required
Assist with ad hoc projects whilst managing deadlines
About You...
We are looking for a friendly professional with
In depth understanding of double entry bookkeeping
Ideally CAT or AAT qualified or close to achieving that qualification
Good technical skills with the ability to research and analyse financial information
Preferably some previous experience in the financial services sector in a similar role
Some knowledge of AML regulations

Managing, supervising, training, and developing junior members of staff and oversee their work. Motivate, encourage, and appraise junior members of staff in order that the overall service provided meets with the needs of both clients and the business

Strong technical TCSP knowledge
Fully or part-qualified ICSA / STEP
Strong organisation and control of workflow ability for self and team
Ability to take responsibility, good level of judgement and logical approach to problem solving
