Financial Revenue Accountant, Permanent, Isle of Man

Job Description

Professionally qualified Accountant required to join a telecommunications business on the Isle of Man as their Financial Revenue Accountant, reporting to the Financial Controller.

The Role...

To support Financial and Management Accounts preparation, tax and other reports
To be responsible as part of the company Financial Control Team for financial control, audits and reconciliations
Be responsible for the company revenue controls
To assist in the analysis and production of monthly, quarterly and annual accounts and financial analysis
Responsibility to manage and provide oversight controls, reports and processes to ensure that revenues are understood and assured
To lead investigations in relation to revenue fluctuations and revenue audits
Assist in the preparation of tax and other financial returns and reports
To business partner with Billing, Product and other related teams on Finance and control related issues
Big data – To develop a working knowledge of the data warehouse and other data sources used to facilitate detailed reporting of management information
Assist in ensuring compliance with internal and external audit requirements
Various other duties, including project-based work, as assigned by the Finance Controller

About You...

Essential:
A professional accounting qualification and membership of a recognised professional accounting body or working towards an accounting qualification with significant hands-on accounting or audit experience
High level of systems, IT and Excel skills
Strong project/time management skills
Self-motivated and well organised
Able to work as part of a team
Ability to analyse situations effectively and proactively provide solutions
Ability to analyse, interpret and present financial information to non-financial persons and consider business implications
Energy and enthusiasm with good leadership skills
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal

Highly desirable:
Audit or financial control experience
Experience working in telecoms or technology sector
Exposure to accounting packages and systems
