The Role…
As a Graduate Actuarial Trainee, you will play a key role in our dynamic team. This position is an excellent starting point for those who aspire to become accomplished actuaries. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks across various areas, including pricing and product development, regulatory and internal reporting, actuarial liability modelling, and active participation in project initiatives. Day to day duties will include:
Assisting in the production of valuations to meet external reporting standards and deadlines
Contributing to internal financial reporting, including experience investigations using agreed methodologies
Supporting the development and upkeep of actuarial liability models, ensuring data accuracy and maintaining proper documentation
Playing an active role in maintaining and enhancing illustration systems
About You…
Applicants must hold an honours degree (at least second class division 1) in a mathematical or related subject, accompanied by a strong academic record in mathematical subjects, and:
You meet the necessary criteria to become a student member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (or equivalent body) or are already a member
Experience with Excel, including VBA

The Role…
Day to day duties will vary, but you can expect to:
Carry out risk assessment covering financial and non-financial risk to inform the audit plan, coverage and focus
Comply with regulatory requirements, Bank standards, policies and processes including audit methodology
Lead and manage teams where resources are assigned to audits
Carry out end to end management of audits assigned to, including planning, execution, reporting, stakeholder engagement Issue tracking
Use data analytics and providing data insights
Keep audit risk universe up-to-date
Keep abreast of economic and audit trends

About You…
Applicants should have a relevant accounting/internal audit (CA/CIA) qualification, and:
Proven experience within an internal audit function, planning execution and reporting
Experience managing and engaging with various stakeholders at a senior level
Management experience would be advantageous
Data & analytics management, experience analysing data to interpret, visualise and identify trends
Understanding and application of IT controls
Understanding and application of AML/CFT requirements
Understanding of financial and non financial risks in finance service industry
