We’re working on a new opportunity to join a respected and trusted provider of high-quality UK residential and nursing care homes. Based in the IOM and reporting to the Finance Manager and the Head of Finance, the role will cover all financial aspects of the Group

The Role...

Supervising, mentoring and supporting the bookkeeping/accounting team, including guiding their professional development

Preparation/review of periodic management accounts and annual statutory financial statements at entity and group level

Collaborating on the continued development of the group’s management accounting and information reporting, including budgeting, forecasting and analytical monitoring tools, as well as finance policies and procedures

About You...

Fully qualified accountant (ACCA or ACA) with post qualification experience – essential

Exposure to property accounting and the preparation of statutory, VAT and tax returns – highly desirable

Experienced in the preparation of statutory financial statements to audit standard under UK GAAP – desirable

The Investment Accounting Manager is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting, financial reporting and analysis for investment assets within the life companies, including responsibility for the production of Singapore ILP financial statements for audit and sign-off.

The Role...

Monitor investment accounting activities and ensure adequate controls are in place

Prepare analytical review of investment performance including comparisons and commentary to market movements

Manage the annual investment reporting audit delivery and compliance with regulatory and group accounting requirements

Interrogation of finance systems including SUN, fund accounting system and policy administration systems where applicable

The management and development of team members

About You...

ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or Securities and Investments qualified

Proven relevant experience in insurance or investment accounting

Technical knowledge of Life Assurance accounting (IFRS) preferable
