Job Description

Our client is seeking a Payroll Administrator on a temporary or permanent basis to work as part of a team to ensure weekly contractor timesheets are processed efficiently and on time.

The Role...
Receiving weekly timesheets from the client and processing either manually or via excel imports to the Merit payroll system
Raising Client invoices for the contractor timesheets received each week
Running the payroll process once all timesheets and invoices have been generated on the payroll system
Ensuring the Contractors receive a Text, Payslip and Bank payment for their weekly salary
Daily recording and reconciling of the salary totals for the payroll processed

About you...
The ideal candidate will already have payroll, accounts or book-keeping experience or that of financial and banking knowledge from a similar working environment
Excellent knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel is essential
You will need to be able to deal with complicated payroll calculations and follow a strict but methodical process to ensure contractors are paid correctly each week and on time
Daily invoicing forms a large part of the role also to ensure the clients are invoiced regularly
The right candidate will need to be able to undertake a busy and challenging role and have the ability to work under pressure at times to meet specific deadlines
