We’re recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading financial services group, for a facilities assistant, to join on a 6 month contract.
The Role…
The successful applicant will support the Isle of Man office refurbishment to contribute to the provision of a fully functional and operational office environment. Duties will include:
Assisting the line manager with maintaining compliance with health and safety legislation, serve as the health and safety representative to ensure the health and safety of the users, including the execution of display screen equipment workstation assessments, monitor and replenish first aid boxes etc.
Control the keys and door cards to the facilities in accordance with the policy and approved process
Maintain and repair facilities to ensure their availability and the safety and health of users. Including calling out third party maintenance, specialist, engineers, sub contractors, keeping records of maintenance and repairs made
Deliver on the internal and external postal requirements of the organisation, including monitoring of the franking machine and dealing with courier packages, registered and recorded mail, collect, distribute and recycle daily newspapers
Execute archive storage and retrieval with proper record keeping
About You…
You will have previous experience within a similar role, and::
5 GCSEs grade C or above
Institution of occupational safety and health certification (IOSH) or an equivalent health and safety certificate
Excellent time management skills
Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally
