Job Description

Head of Procurement & Governance required to join a telecommunications group. This key group position is to support the Group strategy by developing key supplier and stakeholder relationships to meet the current and future needs of the business. This is a permanent position based in the Isle of Man and reporting to the CFO.

The Role...
Senior management position supporting the Executive team to develop strategic plans and deliver against key corporate objectives
To develop and manage the procurement strategy across the Group to support the business to reduce and contain costs; evaluate and select suppliers; and ensure robust supply chain
Develop and implement strategies, polices and systems to ensure efficient and effective governance across the Group
Ensure business processes and investment plans are aligned to company strategic objectives
Manage and develop relationships with key strategic suppliers and stakeholders, including Government departments
Support the CFO and CEO to communicate Group performance against strategic objectives to the Board, Senior Management, Exco and the wider business
To support the CFO to ensure effective corporate governance of Group entities, to enable the Boards to meet their responsibilities and obligations

About you...
Essential
Substantial experience of procurement and governance or a similar strategic role within a commercial environment
Ability to analyse situations effectively and proactively provide solutions
Ability to analyse, interpret and present information
Strong project/time management skills
Self-motivated and well organised
Able to work as part of a team
Energy and enthusiasm with good leadership skills
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
High level of systems, IT and Excel skills

Desirable
Experience working in telecoms or technology sector
Membership of relevant professional bodies

Experience in IT infrastructure maintenance support and design
Ability to apply IT in solving business problems
Ability to present ideas in business and user friendly language
Highly self motivated, proactive and strong attention to detail
