We have an excellent opportunity for an individual to join our client on a permanent basis as a Database Administrator. You will be a key member of the Data Services team, responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of the organisation's SQL Server and Oracle databases.
The Role...
Design and implement SQL server and Oracle instances and physical databases in line with business applications needs
Assess proposed changes which impact data storage and usage requirements, ensuring database infrastructure is appropriately updated to accommodate changes without loss of performance or data integrity
Monitor database performance and activity and proactively identify and investigate problems and issues
Perform routine configuration, installation, and reconfiguration of database and related products
Automates regular database activity such as backups and test environment provision
About You...
Previous experience as a MS SQL Database Administrator using Microsoft tools, ideally with exposure to Oracle databases
Experience with SQL Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2019 and Oracle 10g/11g/12c/18c/19c
Experience with automation tools such as PowerShell and Python for managing and monitoring SQL Server and Oracle databases

As a Senior Operational Controller, your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of critical duties, including:
Understanding and troubleshooting across the end-to-end operating models with service providers.
Performing transactional processing, including Corporate Actions, Trades, Dividends, Payments, Prices, and Fees across all platforms
Monitoring transaction status and reconciliation reports, promptly addressing exceptions
Providing support for client cash inflows and outflows
Reviewing client reports and ensuring the highest quality output for clients
Running and distributing reports for various purposes
Recording and tracking issues raised with service providers, including review of SLD and KPIs
Supporting the new client onboarding process
Maintaining and updating compliance rules in relevant systems
Offering support and deputising for the senior leadership team

To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications and qualities:
Proven track record working within a similar position with fund or investment administration
Sound understanding of investment management operations, including industry knowledge, market dynamics, and financial instruments
Familiarity with regulatory obligations such as MiFID II and EMIR
Intermediate-level proficiency in Excel and Word
Experience in dealing with 3rd party service providers, including the creation/review of SLD and KPI frameworks, is a plus
Payroll Administrator required on a permanent basis to join a Payroll bureaux to administer international payrolls and payments in a timely and efficient manner and be responsible for administering a portfolio of clients

This role is very fast paced with email and phone queries relating to payroll processing to deal with daily
And will include the following:
Send client files/chase for payroll changes
Administer international payrolls
Send payroll reports and request funds from the client
Send payslips
Keep payroll records up to date
To ensure contributions are paid to the appropriate bodies accurately and within the specified time frame
Ensure that the figures are reported to all relevant government bodies within the specified time frames
About you...
Payroll experience would be advantageous (preferably both IOM and UK) although not essential
Good customer service skills, high level of numeracy with attention to detail
A keen willingness to learn and the ability to manage self-learning
