Job Description

Manager of Business Risk & Risk Execution required to join an international wealth group in a permanent capacity on the Isle of Man. Role is to implement measures for the proactive identification, execution, prioritisation and measurement of risk and controls for managing and monitoring business risk (non-financial risk, regulatory risk, reputational risk) for the Isle of Man.

The Role…

Act as SME on business risk matters in the Isle of Man and provides coaching and guidance as and when required
Address any Risk Assurances findings by Group Internal Audit (GIA), GCM and Non-Financial Risk (NFR) relevant to the Isle of Man entity as committed to
Engage with Business Compliance Officers with regards to impact of new and/or amended regulatory and legislative requirements relating to the Isle of Man entity
Ensure effective risk management by understanding the risk profile within the Isle of Man and proactively put execution measures in place to mitigate and manage the risk
Raise awareness of regulatory risks by ensuring that mandatory training is completed by affected staff and general communications are sent regularly to sustain awareness

About you…

A wealth of experience in a similar risk related position within a regulated financial services
Hold or working towards a risk management qualification
Experience in operational risks and related controls.
Experience of compliance requirements for the Isle of Man.
Sound knowledge of risk principles (e.g., non-financial risk, regulatory risk, reputational risk, etc.), their applicability and impact on the business landscape.
Exposure in general banking and risk management principles.
Experience in executing projects across complex business units and matrix's

Excellent communication skills with well developed and confident training skills
