Join our client's growing Risk and Compliance Team and be a key player in maintaining robust systems and controls for the Group. Reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance, this role offers the chance to contribute to the development of a pragmatic risk and compliance culture.

The Role...
Step into a role where your expertise will be crucial for the Group's success. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting horizon scanning and managing emerging changes to the Group's regulatory environment

  • Continuously assessing and managing the Group's regulatory and compliance risks

  • Maintaining the Group's suite of policies to address identified risks

  • Coordinating first-line monitoring of compliance systems and controls

  • Designing, collating, and delivering management information for governance reporting

  • Providing compliance training, including financial crime prevention and data protection

  • Interacting with supervisors, law enforcement agencies, auditors, and counterparties

  • Maintaining and administering the Group's data protection framework

  • Offering regulatory advice to internal and external stakeholders

  • Collaborating with team members to foster a robust and pragmatic risk and compliance culture

  • Assisting with projects and tasks to ensure the successful delivery of the team's purpose


About You...
To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A degree or diploma-level qualification in Risk Management, Compliance, Governance, or a related field

  • Relevant working experience in Risk Management, Compliance, Financial Crime Prevention, or a similar role, with a strong performance record

  • The ability to make decisions and use initiative within regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures

  • In-depth understanding of domestic regulation, particularly the Financial Services Rule Book, AML/CFT Code, and Handbook

  • Working knowledge of international regulatory initiatives impacting the Isle of Man

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills

  • Collaborative team player with the ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels

  • Accomplished presenter to internal and external audiences

  • Expert understanding of data protection (desirable)
