- Design, plan and manage Access Network construction and maintenance
- Work with duct infrastructure, civil engineering projects and fibre optic systems
- Handle permissions, wayleaves, consents and liaise with authorities
- Conduct field surveys and produce scheme paperwork
- Co-ordinate with local authorities for roadworks and resurfacing
- Support residential and business fibre installations
- Fibre splicing of internal CSSPs, FDPs and FTTP Splitter Nodes
- Fibre splicing of external Prysmian LMJ and MMJ nodes
- Support service delivery and resolve customer-end issues
- Maintain accurate line plant records and support new developments
- Assist with ad hoc engineering projects including mobile deployments
About You
You are a skilled and motivated engineer with a passion for delivering high-quality network solutions.
- Strong understanding of IP, Carrier Ethernet, FTTP, VOIP and traditional voice
- Hands-on experience with fibre splicing internal and external nodes
- Experienced with internal cabling and external fibre installation via UG network
- Familiar with MDU and single premises installs using INTEX and Invizi cable
- Great communication skills and attention to detail
- A proactive learner who can work independently or as part of a team
- Calm under pressure with a positive and professional attitude
- Desirable: OTDR use, Fibre Loss meters, CAT and Genny, Cisco and Adva installs, ODF patching and Road Works Guarding training
