- Administer VMWare and Nutanix virtualised environments
- Oversee Linux and Windows server administration
- Implement and manage monitoring tools for system performance
- Perform system audits and tuning for optimal operation
- Analyse logs and troubleshoot complex issues
- Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards
- Implement security measures to protect data and systems
- Collaborate with development operations and security teams
- Create and maintain detailed system documentation
About You
You will be a highly skilled engineer with a passion for problem solving and a track record of managing mission critical systems
- Previous experience in a systems engineering role
- Extensive VMWare virtualisation expertise
- Strong Linux and Windows Server administration skills
- Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Elk stack Data Dog Sensu
- Knowledge of Nutanix and Infrastructure
- Strong networking knowledge
- Experience with MSSQL installation
- Desirable skills include scripting languages Kafka RabbitMQ Docker Kubernetes and automation tools
- Relevant certifications such as VCP AWS Solutions Architect or RHCE advantageous
