The Role

Join a small collaborative team where you will support key actuarial activities and develop your expertise across a wide range of areas.

• Support external reporting by assisting in the production of valuations to appropriate standards and within agreed timescales


• Support internal financial reporting including experience investigations in line with agreed methodologies


• Assist with the development and maintenance of actuarial liability models and data extract routines while maintaining clear documentation


• Take an active role in maintaining and developing illustration systems


• Provide actuarial support to product development and pricing exercises


• Provide actuarial support to project work as required

About You

Bring strong analytical ability and a passion for problem solving to succeed and thrive in this varied trainee role.

• Educated to honours degree level in a mathematical or related subject with strong exam performance


• Able to meet the entry requirements for student membership of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or equivalent or already a member


• Experience of Excel including VBA is beneficial


• Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail


• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels


• Proactive self starter who uses initiative while seeking support when needed


• Skilled in producing high quality written reports


• Applications welcomed from candidates with up to three years actuarial trainee experience
