- Prepare and review year end accounts for sole traders and limited companies
- Prepare Isle of Man personal and corporate tax returns
- Prepare and review VAT returns
- Review bookkeeping records and supporting documentation
- Manage a portfolio of established Isle of Man clients
- Respond to client queries in a clear and practical manner
- Oversee client onboarding including KYC AML and risk assessments
- Ensure AML CFT and sanctions procedures are followed consistently
- Maintain and review compliance files
- Carry out periodic client file reviews
- Identify and escalate unusual or higher risk matters
- Support and maintain the existing compliance framework
- Review work prepared by other team members
- Ensure consistent standards and clear working papers across files
- Assist with updating internal policies and procedures
- Support deadlines workflow and internal processes
- Provide guidance and technical support to colleagues
About You
You are a confident and detail focused accountant who enjoys client interaction and values accuracy consistency and good practice.
- Experience working within an accountancy practice
- Strong knowledge of Isle of Man accounting and tax
- Practical experience of compliance including AML and KYC
- Confidence reviewing accounts tax returns and client files
- Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to work across both Peel and Ramsey offices
- AAT ACCA or ACA qualified or qualified by experience
- Comfortable supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge
- Practical level headed approach with straightforward client structures
