Take ownership of key systems and processes while working closely with colleagues to keep everything running smoothly.

The Role

A practical and service focused role supporting infrastructure applications and day to day IT operations.


  • Act as the first point of contact for IT support across the organisation

  • Install configure and maintain desktop and server hardware and software

  • Support physical and virtualised environments including endpoint security updates

  • Monitor infrastructure performance capacity and security events

  • Carry out routine operational tasks including backups restorations and maintenance

  • Diagnose prioritise and resolve incidents in line with agreed procedures

  • Escalate complex issues to specialist teams and coordinate resolution

  • Maintain and support application services and investigate system issues

  • Identify root causes of problems and implement preventative measures

  • Support risk management activities by identifying vulnerabilities and mitigation actions

  • Administer system software including installation tuning and upgrades

  • Install and decommission hardware and software following standard procedures

  • Maintain accurate documentation of systems installations and changes



About You

You are a technically capable and customer focused systems engineer who enjoys solving problems and working as part of a team.


  • Proven experience as an infrastructure support technician or similar role

  • Strong understanding of computer systems hardware software and networks

  • Good problem solving skills with a practical approach to IT support

  • Ability to communicate clearly and adapt style for different audiences

  • Collaborative team player comfortable working across teams and cultures

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Experience with Windows domain services including Active Directory DNS and certificates

  • Knowledge of VMware ESXi vCentre and Horizon VDI platforms

  • Experience supporting M365 including Exchange Online SharePoint Teams and Intune

  • Understanding of conditional access compliance and data loss prevention policies

  • Azure cloud knowledge

  • Competent in Microsoft Word Outlook SharePoint and Excel

  • Relevant professional qualifications preferred
