Description

Provide strategic compliance leadership across a regulated fiduciary and accountancy business ensuring governance risk and regulatory standards are maintained at the highest level.

The Role

A senior leadership role with responsibility for driving strong compliance culture and regulatory excellence.


  • Lead and manage the Compliance Department overseeing all aspects of client compliance

  • Maintain and update policies procedures and compliance manuals

  • Monitor regulatory and legislative developments and support the Board with consultations

  • Implement and maintain the Compliance Monitoring Plan

  • Prepare and review quarterly compliance reports and attend compliance meetings

  • Support the MLRO and Deputy MLRO in meeting AML CFT obligations and training requirements

  • Oversee preparation and submission of regulatory returns

  • Act as primary liaison with the regulator

  • Attend signoff and risk committee meetings and follow up actions

  • Monitor high risk clients and assess Politically Exposed Persons

  • Maintain compliance registers manage breaches and investigations

  • Provide advice guidance and training to staff on compliance matters

  • Supervise compliance staff and complete monthly reviews



About You

An experienced and confident compliance leader with strong regulatory knowledge and people management skills.


  • Professional qualification in compliance

  • Approval to act as Head of Compliance

  • Extensive experience as a Head of Compliance within the TCSP industry

  • Strong knowledge of the Financial Services Rule Book and AML CFT Code

  • Proven experience developing and implementing compliance monitoring plans

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and take ownership of tasks

  • Methodical approach to work with a proactive mindset

  • Experience or qualification in data protection
