Shape the strength of Customer Services by leading risk and control thinking that protects customers and supports better financial futures.

The Role

Play a central role in guiding and strengthening risk and control practices across Customer Services.


  • Provide day to day guidance, oversight and challenge on risk and control matters

  • Support the design and continuous improvement of key controls across end to end customer journeys

  • Identify and manage operational, conduct, regulatory, financial, data and fraud risks

  • Manage risk events and data protection breaches including investigation, root cause analysis and action tracking

  • Produce insightful risk reporting and MI with clear commentary for leadership and governance forums



About You

Bring sound judgement, regulatory awareness and a customer first mindset to a regulated financial services environment.


  • Experience in risk, controls, operations or compliance within life assurance, pensions or similar regulated sectors

  • Strong understanding of life assurance customer operations and relevant regulatory requirements

  • Confident influencing and challenging stakeholders while operating independently

  • Analytical and structured thinker able to interpret data, identify trends and determine root causes

  • Clear communicator with high attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
