The Role
As a Health Care Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting the delivery of safe, effective patient care. Working under the guidance of Registered Practitioners, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with activities of daily living, including personal care, nutrition, mobility and emotional support
- Monitoring, recording and reporting patient observations, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure and fluid balance
- Supporting clinical procedures such as specimen collection, basic wound care and patient assessments following appropriate training
- Escorting patients and assisting with safe moving and handling techniques
- Maintaining high standards of infection prevention, patient dignity, confidentiality and safety
- Working collaboratively as part of a busy multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding patient care

Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within a care or healthcare setting
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Basic IT skills
- Isle of Man Worker status
