Vacancy Description:


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced banker to develop their career in a senior role operating in the Islands Commercial market within Wealth & International


Reporting to the Head of Islands Commercial Banking, based in Jersey, the successful candidate will be responsible for an Island based team serving commercial through to corporate relationships, managing an existing diverse portfolio of relationships and will have P & L responsibility for the non personal customer base in the Isle of Man. In view of the nature of the Bank's book in each Island, the role is only considered suitable for those candidates currently in a senior commercial/corporate role with a proven track record in relationship management and running a commercial/corporate team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a designated and diverse portfolio of customer relationships in order to identify and deliver against customer needs. This will be a high value portfolio with sizeable lending transactions. Solutions are to be most appropriate meeting the Bank’s risk, TCF, reputation and profitability requirements, leading the relationships within the Group, interfacing with all appropriate Product Partners and stakeholders both offshore and onshore, developing and executing a Business Plan for the Island as part of the wider Islands Commercial offering, identifying and executing new business opportunities with both new and existing customers to deliver against stretching objectives, preparing credit and pricing proposals, constantly reviewing the credit profile of your book, stress against local and macro economic events and market and providing advice and support to other colleagues across the business.

Person Specification:


This role requires the Candidate to be both an experienced Commercial/Corporate Relationship Manager and an experienced team manager.
The role combines a requirement for excellent credit and relationship management skills with a proven track record of delivering results, team leadership and change management.
the ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of 'Commercial / Corporate' banking skills including large ticket lending / internal credit processes / Risk awareness, Commercial/Corporate banking Relationship Management, Offshore KYC/KYB and Commercial/Corporate Lending (non credit scored).
