The Role
Lead and support enhanced supervision activities across regulated sectors while driving strategic and operational excellence.


  • Assist with the leadership, motivation and development of the Enhanced Supervision team

  • Ensure the team completes all deliverables efficiently and effectively

  • Oversee risk based supervisory activities for entities subject to enhanced supervision

  • Manage external parties supporting enhanced supervision processes and remedial actions

  • Impose and manage timeframes for remedial measures and interventions

  • Apply statutory powers and make recommendations to senior leadership where required

  • Develop and maintain systems, procedures and controls for enhanced supervision

  • Plan, coordinate and deliver enhanced supervisory activities across sectors

  • Review and manage risk assessments and identify trends or supervisory themes

  • Maintain effective relationships with regulated entities, industry bodies and government agencies

  • Handle public enquiries and complaints constructively and efficiently

  • Produce reports, papers and analytics to support enhanced supervision and decision-making

  • Lead enhanced regulatory action and support formal enforcement processes

  • Contribute to new or amended legislation, guidance, policies and procedures

  • Support strategy setting, risk horizon scanning and culture building within the organisation

  • Drive performance management, staff development and accountability across the team

  • Promote cross-divisional collaboration and act as a change agent for improvement and automation



About You

You are an experienced financial services professional with proven leadership skills and a strong ability to manage risk and compliance across complex environments.


  • Professional qualification relevant to the financial services industry with evidence of continuing professional development

  • Extensive experience in operational, compliance, assurance, risk or audit roles within the finance sector

  • Working experience in fund services and investment business is essential

  • Proven leadership and people management skills with ability to inspire and motivate teams

  • Strong knowledge of financial services legislation, compliance and risk management frameworks

  • Highly effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess risks and summarise complex information accurately

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels and influence outcomes

  • Ability to lead meetings with senior stakeholders and manage difficult or contentious issues

  • Ability to manage individual and team workloads, competing priorities and deadlines

  • Strategic thinker with subject matter expertise in risk frameworks and regulatory requirements

  • Ability to contribute to wider organisational initiatives and drive positive cultural change

  • Flexible attitude and capacity to work independently or collaboratively as required
