The Role

Lead and inspire within a high-performing technical environment.

• Mentor and develop technical underwriters and senior claims assessors


• Shape and implement underwriting and claims strategies in line with business objectives


• Review and authorise complex, high-value life cases and claims


• Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory standards and best practice


• Collaborate with actuaries, legal and product development teams to support risk assessment and case design


• Deliver training and technical guidance to brokers, clients and Third Party Agencies


• Manage reinsurance relationships and treaty documentation


• Champion operational efficiency and innovation across underwriting and claims


• Act as a key voice in senior management and strategic forums

About You

Bring your expertise, leadership and passion for technical excellence.

• Previous experience in Life & Disability underwriting, with experience in a senior leadership role covering international markets


• Deep technical understanding of international life products and high-net-worth underwriting


• Proven experience handling complex claims and overseeing claims processes


• Exceptional leadership and team development skills
• Excellent communication abilities with a talent for technical discussion across stakeholders


• Strong knowledge of offshore regulatory environments and cross-border insurance solutions


• Relevant underwriting and/or medical qualifications
