Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Client Support Officer to join a busy Payments and Operations team where you will play a key role in delivering excellent client service and ensuring smooth banking operations.

The Role

You will provide vital support across payments processing and client servicing.


  • Accurately process internal and external transactions, payments and FX instructions within strict deadlines while adhering to AML and CFT requirements

  • Monitor and manage the Payments mailbox ensuring requests are handled promptly

  • Deliver a professional and responsive service to internal and external banking clients

  • Handle telephone queries with courtesy and professionalism

  • Investigate payment queries and liaise with relevant departments to resolve issues

  • Undertake account administration including closures, standing orders, audits and record updates

  • Ensure daily payment checklists are completed and all transactions accounted for

  • Produce and distribute client statements on a monthly or quarterly basis

  • Support system and process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery

  • Assist with a variety of ad hoc administrative tasks as required



About You

You will bring strong attention to detail, enthusiasm and a commitment to delivering a first-class client experience


  • Minimum GCSE or equivalent standard with passes in Mathematics and English preferred

  • Good knowledge of payments, banking systems and regulatory requirements

  • Understanding of AML and CFT practices
  • Strong communication skills with a customer service focus

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel Word and Outlook

  • Experience in banking or financial services preferred but not essential

  • Team player with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines

  • Flexible proactive and motivated with a positive attitude to development
