A senior hands on position supporting security operations risk management and incident response across the organisation.
- Provide operational cyber security support for group IT systems
- Monitor and respond to security events using tools including EDR
- Act as an escalation point for the Security Operations Centre
- Support vendor risk management including selection and ongoing monitoring
- Contribute to incident simulations and security exercises
- Carry out vulnerability assessments and review third party test results
- Investigate security breaches and recommend control improvements
- Support the development of security policies standards and guidelines
- Oversee security operations procedures including cloud security practices
- Plan and implement risk management activities aligned to governance frameworks
- Develop and manage threat intelligence activities and reporting
- Support penetration testing and vulnerability assessment activities
- Research emerging security threats and solutions to enhance security planning
- Work closely with infrastructure and development teams to protect IT assets
- Deliver security awareness and training to staff
About You
You are an experienced cyber security professional with the confidence to lead advise and collaborate across the business.
- Proven experience in a cyber security role
- Previous experience in a relevant role ideally within a regulated environment
- Strong understanding of computer systems networks and cyber security principles
- Experience implementing security upgrades improvements and change initiatives
- Ability to deliver engaging security training and awareness sessions
- Highly self motivated with a proactive approach to continuous improvement
- Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences
- Collaborative team player able to work across teams and cultures
- Clear verbal and written communication skills in English
- Experience with risk and governance frameworks preferred
- Competent in Microsoft Word Outlook SharePoint and Excel
- Working knowledge of EDR mobile device management data loss prevention and risk management tools preferred
- Relevant professional cyber security qualifications preferred
