Description

A pivotal opportunity to shape how financial crime risk is managed across a complex group environment while influencing decisions that protect integrity trust and long term value.

The Role

Operating at the core of the risk and governance framework this role safeguards the business from financial crime and regulatory exposure.


  • Act or demonstrate readiness to act as an Approved Person undertaking the R16 DMLRO Controlled Function including disclosure decisions and liaison with financial crime agencies

  • Lead the submission of Suspicious Activity Reports and oversee any resulting law enforcement orders

  • Maintain and enhance the Group financial crime risk management framework ensuring proportionate and commercially aligned controls across all jurisdictions

  • Interpret legislative and regulatory change ensuring timely implementation of AML CFT sanctions fraud and related obligations

  • Develop and embed AML CFT policies procedures and risk based monitoring aligned to the scale and complexity of the Group

  • Provide subject matter expertise for regulatory consultations Compliance Assurance Reviews and strategic projects

  • Support due diligence activity for business integrations and major initiatives

  • Produce internal AML CFT reporting and contribute to the annual Group AML CFT Board Report

  • Build effective working relationships with regulators law enforcement internal teams and external stakeholders



About You

An experienced financial crime professional with the credibility confidence and judgement to operate at senior level.


  • Deep knowledge of AML CFT and financial crime legislation including DMLRO duties in the Isle of Man and other jurisdictions

  • Significant experience in a senior financial crime prevention role ideally with R16 approval

  • Strong understanding of regulatory risk across technical and operational environments

  • Experience working within multi jurisdictional financial services ideally life and investments

  • Proven ability to deliver expert advice manage change and drive continuous improvement

  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the confidence to challenge constructively and advise with commercial insight

  • Strategic problem solving capability strong organisation and close attention to detail

  • Professional qualification such as ICA Diploma or commitment to achieve within eighteen months

  • A demonstrable approach grounded in independence integrity and sound professional judgement
