Contract:Full-time (37.5 hours per week), Two Year Limited Term Contract

We are seeking a Triage and Early Interventions Officer to join our Welfare Team. This is a new role at VSIOM which will include assessing and providing first-line support to individuals affected by crime and trauma.

Key Responsibilities


  • Be the first point of contact for victims and witnesses of crime or other traumatic events

  • Conduct needs assessments and provide early interventions/support

  • Offer emotional support and safeguarding guidance

  • Refer individuals to appropriate services (inc those provided by the VSIOM Team)

  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to service improvement



What We are Looking For


  • Experience of working with individuals in a victim support, social work, or crisis response role/setting

  • Strong communication and active listening skills

  • Understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice and person-centred support

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage sensitive situations

  • Working confidentially

  • Ability to work within a team

  • Willingness to undertake training to grow knowledge and experience
