The Role

A hands on role supporting assurance, monitoring, advice, and a culture of doing the right thing.


  • Support the day to day activities of the Compliance Team aligned to Group Risk and Compliance objectives

  • Help deliver a customer centric Compliance Assurance Programme through regular and ad hoc monitoring

  • Conduct compliance assurance testing in line with the Group Compliance Assurance Monitoring Framework

  • Analyse testing results and recommend improvements to governance, risk management, and internal controls

  • Report findings clearly and accurately to support decision making

  • Support the identification, recording, investigation, and resolution of compliance breaches

  • Promote a positive compliance culture across the Group

  • Assist with preparing and delivering compliance training to colleagues across the business

  • Maintain the Group Compliance Calendar to ensure timely reporting and submissions

  • Horizon scan regulatory developments and support analysis of consultation papers and thematic reviews

  • Communicate external regulatory updates across multiple jurisdictions

  • Support the maintenance of the Group Compliance Assurance Monitoring Framework

  • Help ensure life companies, service providers, and employees remain compliant with regulatory obligations

  • Assist in maintaining effective and auditable compliance policies, procedures, reporting mechanisms, and training materials

  • Review and sign off sales literature, marketing materials, and customer communications

  • Support wider Group Risk and Compliance priorities aligned to departmental and organisational goals



About You

You bring strong compliance fundamentals, sharp attention to detail, and the confidence to work with stakeholders at every level.


  • Experience working within a Compliance function, ideally within insurance

  • A clear desire to build a long term career in compliance

  • Experience in compliance monitoring and or control testing

  • Strong research, investigation, analytical, and problem solving skills

  • Ability to identify practical solutions and bring a fresh perspective

  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy

  • Ability to develop strong working knowledge of relevant regulatory regimes

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for a wide range of audiences

  • Confident assessing and communicating regulatory change and its business impact

  • Ability to deliver compliance training to employees across the organisation

  • Proven ability to build positive working relationships and share knowledge

  • Proactive approach and enthusiasm for compliance in a fast paced environment

  • Understanding of ethics and integrity principles

  • Compliance qualification is advantageous

  • Knowledge of risk management, internal control, and corporate governance
